EastEnders complaints over Ramadan scene
by Chris Irvine
BBC soap EastEnders has received more than a hundred complaints after a Muslim character was shown eating during Ramadan.
The BBC had already received 200 complaints over a storyline about a paedophile grooming a 15-year-old girl, broadcast last month.
The latest protests follow scenes showing Asian postman Masood Ahmed, played by Nitin Ganatra, being caught eating a secret snack during the holy month, where Muslims must not break fast between dawn and sunset.
