The anti-Islam PVV in Limburg is again under fire after one provincial councillor described a Labour party colleague as 'a piece of sicked-up halal meat made from a Turkish pig'.
The comment was made by PVV number two Cor Bosman in an email to 20 supporters after Labour councillor Selçuk Öztürk gave an interview to a local magazine, the Eindhovens Dagblad reports.
The email, which was sent earlier last year, led another PVV councillor, Harm Uringa, to leave the party. The paper says Uringa resigned because local leader Laurence Stassen did not intervene in the row and continued to support the email's sender.
