Help spot Islamic extremists, NHS staff urged
by Duncan Gardham
Doctors, nurses and other health workers are to be encouraged to help spot the signs of Islamic extremism for the first time.
The Daily Telegraph understands that the new Prevent strategy will include a section on how NHS, private sector and charity workers can help identify patients or staff who have gone off the rails.
The strategy, which is being launched today by Theresa May, the Home Secretary, will also include measures to give internet users panic buttons to alert police to potential terrorists online.
