WH: Trump disagrees with Steve King's 'somebody else's babies' remark
by Jordan Fabian
President Trump does not agree with racially charged comments made by Republican Rep. Steve King, the White House said Tuesday.
The Iowa congressman recently said that American culture cannot be restored "with somebody else's babies," a comment that drew widespread condemnation from both political parties.
"The president believes that this is not a point of view that he shares," White House press secretary Sean Spicer told reporters. "He believes that he's a president for all Americans."
Spicer's remarks are the White House's first response to King's tweet, which was posted two days ago.
