Excerpt:
GOP presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz called Tuesday for deep surveillance of Muslim neighborhoods following the terrorist attacks in Brussels, sparking panic among Muslims living in the United States.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations condemned Cruz's remarks as unconstitutional and outright said his comments render him unfit for the presidency because of "his call for fascist-like treatment of American Muslims."
What Cruz said is that it's "good law enforcement" to carefully observe neighborhoods that may have a high chance of allowing Islamic radicalism to fester.
