Former Trojan Horse-linked school which 'banned girls from tennis' is named a UK School of Tennis! Rockwood Academy - formerly called Park View - to receive £5,000 for the scheme, with teachers trained as coaches
A former Trojan Horse-linked school where female pupils were allegedly banned from playing tennis with a male coach has been named as an official 'School of Tennis'.
Park View in Alum Rock barred the students because male teachers "did not want girls to be seen with their bits jumping up and down," a misconduct hearing was previously told.
Monzoor Hussain, former principal at the Academy, allegedly made the remarks to school press officer Susan Packer after she complained girls had been pulled out of a tennis coaching session because it was run by a male instructor.
