For the first time Muslims will be able to have a holiday in Italy specially designed to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan. The popular seaside town of Riccione on the Adriatic coast will become the first Italian city to host Italian and foreign Muslims who want to celebrate the final week of the Islamic festival.
Stefano Giuliodori, manager of the Hotel Dory, told Adnkronos International (AKI) that the hotel had become increasingly popular with Muslims and wanted to do more to cater for their needs.
"Many Arab and Muslim families have been choosing our city more and more for several years," Giuliodori said. "They like the shopping, beaches specially reserved for them, entertainment, hospitality and the parks.
"The Dory Hotel is one of the first family hotels of the city to offer special services dedicated to children and for this reason we have decided to offer special deals for Arab families to allow the parents to enjoy their vacation with respect to Ramadan."
