Six months suspended: first verdict in Cologne NYE trials
The first man found guilty in connection with the crime wave in Cologne on New Year's Eve has been given a six-month suspended sentence and a €100 fine.
Younes A. was found guilty of petty theft in a Cologne court on Wednesday, local newspaper Express reports.
The 23-year-old stole a mobile phone from a young woman as she was taking photos of Cologne's famous cathedral.
