'Too many young British people become victims of abuse. It's my job to stop it'
Karen Bradley is the Government's first ever Minister for Preventing Abuse and Exploitation - a title that probably shouldn't be shortened to 'Abuse Minister'.
But that's essentially what Bradley is. She works within the Home Office, and is responsible for dealing with all the abuse-related crimes that no one else knows what to do with.
That includes child sexual exploitation, violence against women and girls, domestic violence, forced marriage, female genital mutilation, modern slavery, trafficking, online abuse - and everything in between.
