The town hall has made an apparent U-turn on its decision not to serve pork in primary schools.
As revealed by the Gazette this morning, bacon, chops and bangers have been off the menu in all infant and junior schools across the borough.
An earlier statement from the council said pork was not served due to the cost monitoring what every child ate - some of whom may not realise they should avoid the meat due to their religious or cultural background.
