Parti Québécois leadership candidate Pierre Karl Péladeau says he's in favour of a ban on religious symbols for authority figures and school teachers.
Péladeau waded into the question for the first time as the PQ caucus held a pre-session meeting where it accused the Couillard government of trying to sweep the religious secularism issue under the rug.
"Yes, personally I agree with this," Péladeau told reporters when asked if he agrees with the old Bouchard-Taylor formula on secularism.
