Forty-two percent of Icelanders are against the Muslim Association of Iceland building a mosque in the country while 29.7 percent said they supported it, according to a new poll by MMR. The results are similar to previous polls conducted by MMR.
One third of respondents said they were not in favor of the Church of Iceland building churches while 64.4 percent support the idea.
Thirty-three percent are against the Russian Orthodox Church building a church but 31 percent were in favor. At the same time, 36.5 percent of respondents support the Buddhist Association building a temple while 23.5 percent disapprove of the idea. Forty-nine percent support the Ásatrú Association building a house of workshop while 11 percent are against it.
