Tony Abbott meets Muslim leaders to discuss travel bans
by David Wroe and Daisy Dumas
Muslim leaders have used a bridge-building meeting with Prime Minister Tony Abbott to raise doubts about creating no-go zones that would force travellers to Iraq and Syria to prove they are not terrorists.
Mr Abbott held talks on Monday with about 20 of Sydney's Muslim leaders to discuss how to stop young people becoming extremists and joining groups like the feared Islamic State.
The leaders broadly welcomed the government's initiative and praised Mr Abbott's efforts during the meeting.
