Trojan Horse: Park View Academy governors' chief denies 'extremism' plot
The chairman of governors at a Birmingham school at the centre of claims about a takeover plot by hardline Muslims has insisted that "there is no extremism" promoted at the institution.
Tahir Alam said Park View Academy was run within a strict legal framework and taught the national curriculum, and insisted claims made about the school were false. But he refused to give clues to the findings of an Ofsted investigation into the so-called Operation Trojan Horse claims.
He denied that allegations that a terror group had been praised in assemblies and female pupils forced to wear headscarves.
