The Dallas FBI is renewing its search for Yaser Abdel Said, an Egyptian national who allegedly murdered his two teenage daughters in Irving in 2008. The bureau is now offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to Said's arrest.
January 1, 2014, will mark the sixth anniversary of the girls' deaths. On New Year's Day in 2008, Said is believed to have taken his daughters Amina (18) and Sarah (17) for a ride in his taxi. Both girls were shot to death inside the cab, which was found in Irving.
The Irving police issued a capital murder warrant for Said's arrest in January, but he has never been apprehended. In August 2008, the FBI issued another warrant alleging unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. The last confirmed sighting of Said dates back to 2008 in Irving.
