Tesco targeting London neighbourhoods with products suited to their demographic
Neighbourhoods within London are being targeted by Tesco with products specifically suited to their demographic.
The supermarket giant has revamped a fifth of its 500 stores within the M25 to tailor "localised" ranges suited to the typical customers in each area.
In Upton Park, where 90 per cent of the customer base is black or Asian, the local Tesco Metro has introduced a halal meat counter and hot halal chicken.
