Pork DNA found in halal chicken burgers
by Nicholas Robinson
Pork traces have been found in halal chicken burgers in Birmingham after tests were carried out by Birmingham City Council.
According to the council, pork DNA was discovered in packs of 20 Humza brand chicken burgers with the best-before date of 10 May 2013.
The products were distributed by Roshan Foods, but there is no evidence to suggest it caused the contamination.
