Certain secondary schools are supplied by company. Those schools included, Blakewater College, Witton Park High School and Pleckgate High School in Blackburn.
The company told us, "Further to a request by schools and the Local Authority a review is being conducted by the Local Education Partnership (LEP) into the provision of halal meat to determine whether its supply chain can provide halal meat that is approved by the Halal Monitoring Committee (HMC) in line with the requirements of the Lancashire Council of Mosques.
